Grade 12 CAS Experiences

Theodor
Theodor earned his third-degree black belt in Karate, he also worked voluntarily in the club setting up an exhibition for companies and businesses and helped with swim training for younger members of his swim club in Vaduz. Theodor attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan, but was unable to attend the actual event due to injury. He carried out fitness training throughout the course of his Diploma studies and spent his autumn vacation doing voluntary work experience at a store in Vaduz. Theodore worked together with his class in the planning and running of Peace Day celebrations in school.

Fiona
Fiona attended art classes at the Kunstschule in Liechtenstein. She collaborated with her peers in the following school events: Benefit Variety Concert, Christmas in a Shoebox, Peace Day, International Day and assisted in lead up planning for a WWF Run in which the school took part. Fiona took guitar lessons during the course of her IB Diploma studies and took part in a Rock and Pop workshop. She took golf lessons in 2016. She also attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan which she attended in March 2016.

Anna-Lena
Anna-Lena attended fitness training and Karate lessons for the duration of her Diploma studies. She helped to plan and participated in school events; International Day, Peace Day, Christmas in a Shoebox and assisted in lead up planning for a WWF Run in which the school took part. Anna-Lena took piano lessons and attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan which she attended in March 2016. She also tried her hand at acting when performing in films made by a fellow student.

William
William maintained an active involvement in scouting during the course of his Diploma studies. He worked in many roles during this time taking on a number of leadership roles and helping to plan and organize events with the scouts in the local community. These included local environmental clean ups and fundraising events. William continues to play the accordion and was able to share his abilities with the school community, performing in a school concert. He worked collaboratively with his classmates to help plan and run the school events Peace Day and International Day. William also attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan which he attended in March 2016.

Alexander
Alexander maintained an involvement in karate and golf during the course of his Diploma studies. He did a first aid course and developed his cooking skills. Alexander also developed his leadership skills in training a young handball team for a tournament in Uzwil. He did volunteer work in the environment while learning and developing hunting skills. This also involved maintaining hunting installations and taking out feed to the animals during the winter months. Alexander worked collaboratively with his classmates to help plan and run the school events Peace Day and International Day. He helped in the lead up to the WWF run and wrapped presents in the Christmas in a Shoebox campaign.

Charlotte
Charlotte took Budokan lessons and played volleyball, she maintained an active involvement in horse riding during the course of her Diploma studies. Charlotte also took piano lessons and taught a younger student piano. Charlotte worked in collaboration with her fellow students in the planning and execution of Peace Day, International Day, Christmas in a Shoebox and the WWF sponsored run in which the school took part. She attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan, which she attended in March 2016. Charlotte also attended the European Youth Parliament in Aarau in March 2017.

Simon
Simon maintained an active involvement in his gymnastic club which included planning and organising events and competitions. He tried his hand at acting when performing in a film made by a fellow student for her studies. He joined a Mixed Martial Arts gym and also helped to plan and run events here. Simon also worked collaboratively with his classmates to help plan and run the school events Peace Day and International Day. He helped in the lead up to the WWF run in which the school took part. Simon attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan, which he attended in March 2016.

Cynthia
Cynthia embarked upon a course of fitness training, which she maintained during the course of her studies. She was an active and guiding force in helping her classmates in the planning and running of school events such as Peace Day, International Day, Christmas in a Shoebox and the WWF sponsored run in which the school took part. Cynthia took Mandarin lessons. She attended lessons and preparation for the Model United Nations in Milan, which she attended in March 2016. The highlight of Cynthia’s CAS was the week that she spent as a voluntary medical aid worker at the Foundation El Cielo Para los Niños del Ecuador. In Cynthia’s own words, “We are very privileged here when you look at the school and the conditions that we live in. Also just being able to receive an education and you take this for granted. Doing projects such as Christmas in a Shoebox and Ecuador makes you realize the importance of being able to take these opportunities and being able to do something for the good of others.”
